Antique Victorian Period French Champagne Tap
Beautiful 19th Century French Serpent Champagne Tap. Champagne Taps were very popular in the Victorian period, and they came in several different shapes and styles.
The tap is screwed through the cork and pushed into the bottle, the side valve which you turn to allow the Champagne to travel up the tap and out the serpent’s mouth. The Tap is made of Nickel-Plated Brass with a beautiful rosewood handle.
Circa, 1880-1900
Marked, Made in France.
Measures, 6” Long
Condition, as found condition, light wear on finish.
