Antique Barber Bottles
Wonderful find, these three Antique Barber Bottles made of Milk Glass. Two with porcelain stopper spouts, one with lead stopper spout.
Labeled Bay Rum, Witch Hazel, Water. Stoppers are porcelain and lead with cork inserts.
Wonderful décor items for the Barber Shop or Man Cave.
In the later part of the 1800s barbers would fill their own bottles with hair tonic, shampoo, rosewater, and facial splashes, but after the Food and Drug Act of 1906, which made it illegal to refill non-labeled bottles, these bottles slowly disappeared.
Circa, 1910s
Measures, 7½” to 8” tall with spout.
Condition, very good vintage condition for age, no chips or cracks.
