Vintage Chilean Spurs,
Wonderful find these vintage Chilean Huaso Spurs.
Huaso, a Chilean horseman who works to round up cattle grazing over large areas. The idea of the Huaso is like the American cowboy or the Gaucho in Argentina, and the figure of the Huaso on horseback dressed in a traditional poncho and hat is an important part of Chilean folklore.
The spurs have a large 3” round rowel with 32 long spikes, the overall length of each spur is 7¼” long.
These extra-large rowels make an amazing (bell ringing) sound as they spin.
Circa, 1950-1980
Condition, nice vintage condition Rowels have light surface rust.
