Vintage Rattan Wicker Basket, Larger Display Basket
Stunningly beautiful wicker basket. It was fun trying to figure out what this size basket would have been used for, harvesting, street vendor, bakery display full of Baguettes, even a factory basket. It is very well made of heavy cording.
This is a medium to larger size basket approximately 19” square at the rim and 15½” square at the base.
The wicker cording around the rim of the basket is square and 1/2” thick then reduces to 3/8” square and the bottom is 1/8” to 3/8” round wicker cording, the handles are made of a twisted band wicker.
This size basket could be used for several things around the home or just an amazing décor piece.
Circa: 1940
Measures: 19” square.
Condition: nice condition and very solid.
