Antique French Champagne Tap
Wonderful find, this late 1800s medium length Champagne Tap made in France. The tap is made of nickel-plated brass in the design of a sea serpent, the head is the spout, and the fin is the petcock valve which controls the release of champagne. It is designed to use on a smaller bottle containing 2-4 liters.
Using the tap is quite simple, screw the tip through the cork and push the tap to the base of the bottle, the beverage would flow through the holes at the base of the tap through the petcock valve at out the serpent's mouth, spout.
