Antique Glass Dazey Butter Churn 6-Quart
Wonderful and Original Dazey home butter churn made by the Dazey Churn & MFG. Co of St. Louis MO.
This is a 6-quart size with screw-on metal lid and wooden beater paddles and handle.
The glass jar is marked,

Overall condition is used and 100 years old, this year. Glass has scuffs on bottom; rim has a couple tiny fleabite chips. Wood is very solid, with no missing parts; metal has paint loss.
History,
E.B. Jones developed a small glass churn for home use around 1904. Nathan Dazey purchased Jones' business and relocated it in St. Louis, Missouri as the Dazey Churn & Manufacturing Co. Dazey churns were made up until around 1945.
