Antique REX Cast Iron Hanging Paper Roll Holder, Paper Cutter
Wonderful fine, this turn of the Century 1900s General Store paper roll holder. This is an under-cabinet style paper roll holder that would have been attached under an overhead cabinet, it holds up to a 24” long roll of wrapping paper. Made of beautiful cast iron with oak wood hanging bar and wood rod to hang the paper roll on. The intricate scroll work on the cast iron vertical hangers has a heart design in the center.
You would have found these in General stores and Butcher shops across America from the middle of the 1800s to the 1940s.

History,
Believed to have been manufactured by Kaiser & Rex of Frankford, Pennsylvania. Metal works manufacturer who made hardware and metal toys and penny banks.

Circa: late 1800s/early 1900s
Marked: REX
Measures: 28½” long, 7¼” high
Condition: very nice no damage on cast iron, wood is solid with damage on the ends, new dowl rod to hold paper roll.
