Antique German Tobacco Leaf Cutter
Early 1900s tobacco leaf shredder / cutter made by RiegerWerk and AlexanderWerk of Germany. Simply lay dried tobacco leaves on the tray, crank the handle and the tobacco is fed into the cutting blades.
***We are selling this as a parts machine or décor. It is missing the gear which turns rollers that feed the tobacco into the cutter blades.
Ges. Geschützt is a German abbreviation for gesetzlich geschützt, which means (legally protected), it’s the same meaning as the English word Patented in German.
Circa: 1900
Measures: 13” long, 7” wide, 8½”” tall. Weighs 11 pounds.
Condition: selling as a parts machine, missing gear that turns rollers.
