Antique Boyce Moto-Meter Winged Metal Temperature Gauge
RARE Boyce Moto-Meter for the even RARER Jewett Automobile.
The Boyce Moto-Meter was patented in 1912 and was used in automobiles to show the temperature of the radiator. From 1912 through the late 1920s made by the Moto-Meter Company Inc. of Long Island City, NY USA
The Jewett Automobile was built in Detroit, Michigan, by the Paige-Detroit Motor Car Company from March 1922 until December 1926. The Jewett was named after Harry M. Jewett, president of Paige-Detroit. The company was sold during the Great Depression, and the Jewett was renamed in 1927 The Paige and in 1928 renamed The Graham-Paige after the new owner of the company. The Jewett was only made for 4-years.
Condition, as shown with finish lose and one wing tip is chipped.

Circa: 1920s
Marked: Boyce Moto-Meter & Jewett.
Measures: 11” x 6” x 3 1/4".
Condition: Rustic used condition, one wing tip is missing.
