1920s Dietz Vesta Railroad Lantern, N.Y.C.S, New York Central Railroad
Wonderful Railroad Lantern made by the Dietz Lantern Company New York NY. The lantern was made for the New York Central Railroad.
It is marked in raised lettering N.Y.C.S. on the rim of the hood and on the red glass globe.

History,
The New York Central Railroad was a railroad primarily operating in the Great Lakes and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.
It was in operation from 1853 to 1968.

Circa: 1920s
Marked: N.Y.C.S.
Measures: 9 3/4” tall with handle down, 6 ¼” diameter at base.
Condition: Nice, we have lightly cleaned needs detailed cleaning, globe is very nice couple rim chips, no cracks.
