Antique 1891 Wooden Box Style Coffee Grinder, Coffee Bean Grinder
Wonderful 1890s box-style coffee bean grinder. This is the FAVORITE MILL
Manufactured by the Arcade Manufacturing Company of Freeport, Illinois.
This is the 1891 version of the Favorite Mill Box Grinder. Made of a cast-iron hopper and grinding mechanism. Wooden frame with dovetail joint construction and a catch drawer with a cast-iron push-pin style knob.
We have thoroughly cleaned the grinder inside and out and oiled it with a food-safe oil; it works wonderfully. The top has an adjustment screw for fine-tuning the grind of the coffee bean. This is a rare and stunning coffee grinder in museum-quality condition.

Charles Morgan, “Coffee Mill,” U.S. Patent 461,784 (Oct. 21, 1891), assigned to the Arcade Manufacturing Co.

Measures: 6¼” x 6” square at base, 11¼” tall top of handle.
Condition: super clean, it works wonderfully. The crank wood knob has a crack that has been there for 135 years, as shown in the photos.
