Antique Swedish Brass Rump Bells, Sleigh Bells
An amazing set of six Swedish Horse bells. This is a larger set of Rump Bells consisting of six 2½” diameter bells. The bells are attached to a horse-hair-filled strap that is 29” long and 2½” in width. There is a two-brass-buckle strap for buckling the bells to the horse, measuring 24” long.
Bells are clean and shiny with an amazing sound, perfect for the holiday season.
Circa: 1850-1880s
Condition: bells are old and used, with some stress cracks and flaws in the brass, as shown. The leather buckle strap is broken away from the main bell strap.

This M🐴GICAL set of authentic Swedish rump sleigh bells are the enchanting resonant bells of my dreams! After decades of researching and scouring antiques stores, markets and online sources, here they finally are and I simply cannot believe it. James, thank you so much for the sound bite that sealed the deal for me and the beautiful letterhead enclosure with the details of the bells' provenance. I am so excited to start a TLC project to further restore this strap of bells to their original purpose. I have longed to hear this spectacular tonal ringing at will for such a long time.
