Wonderful find this large porcelain Mortar & Pestle made by Thomas Maddock & Sons Company of Trenton, N.J.
This is a #7 porcelain mortar and embossed with the maker's mark Thos Maddock & Sons Co. on the base. The Pestle is also made of porcelain with a wood handle and marked #8.
This is a larger Mortar & Pestle Mortar, measures 10” in diameter at the top rim and 5¼” outside height. Pestle measures 11¼” long, 2½” in diameter. Weigh 12.9 pounds.
Overall condition, nice used condition, the mortar has chips in the spout.
