1920s Southern Pacific Railroad Lantern
Wonderful old Railroad Lantern made by the Handlan of St. Louis, MO. Handlan manufactured this lantern for the Southern Pacific Railway Company.
Labeled on the top SO PAC (Southern Pacific) The base is labeled with several patent numbers starting at 3-4-13 to 7-10-28.
The glass globe is marked Adlake
History,
The Southern Pacific Railroad was a network of companies that existed from 1865 to 1996 and operated largely in the Western United States. The railroad system was operated by various companies under the names Southern Pacific Railroad, Southern Pacific Company, and Southern Pacific Transportation Company. The Southern Pacific Transportation Company was purchased in 1996 by the Union Pacific Railroad.

Measures, 6 ½” diameter at base, 8 ½” tall with handle down.
Condition: clean with a couple of minor rim chips on the glob
