Wonderful find, this beautiful one-gallon stoneware crock, made by the E.W. Farrington & Co. of Elmira, New York. Lovely salt-glazed finish with a wooden stopper.

History,
E. Ward Farrington (active 1887–1894) was a prominent stoneware potter and business owner in Elmira, New York. He took over his father James Farrington's established pottery business in 1887, operating it as E.W. Farrington & Co. until the company's closing in 1894.

Measurements: 11¼” tall, 7” diameter at base, weighs 5 pounds.

Condition: very good, no chips or cracks.
