Antique Champion Bar Mount Corkscrew
Wonderful find, this 1910 bar mount corkscrew made by the Arcade Company, Freeport, Illinois. Branded the Champion and made in the USA.
You have seen several copies of this corkscrew in the last few years, all made overseas, but they cannot stand up to the original.
Made of nickel-plated steel with a black lacquer wood handle. The corkscrew clamps down to a bar or countertop surface up to 2” thick.
The mechanics of this corkscrew are wonderful. With one pull of the wooden handle toward you, the corkscrew is inserted into the cork and pulled from the bottle. Push the handle back away from you, and the cork is released and falls out of the corkscrew. It's amazing how smoothly it works.

Circa: 1898-1920
Measures: 9 ½” tall, 8” depth with handle down, handle is 8” long, width is 6 ½” at base. Weighs 6 pounds.
Condition: wonderful for age. The wooden handle has dents and dings.
