Antique Rack & Pinion Style Bottle Corker, Cork Inserter Tool
Wonderful and rare find, this mid-1800s Bottle Corker, made of nickel-plated steel. This is a very rare and uniquely designed corker. To operate, twist the wooden handle counterclockwise, raising the driver. Place the tool on top of the bottle side locking collar onto the bottle. Place a moistened cork into the corker, twist the wood handle clockwise, forcing the cork into the bottle.
Circa, 1850s
Measures, 8” tall with driver down, 4½” wide.
Marked: E C S
Condition: finish wear from age and use.
