Antique 1920s Goetz Brewing Company Beer Wood Shipping Crate
Wonderful find, this wood shipping crate used by Goetz Brewing Company, St. Joseph, MO.
The crate is made of wood with steel: hinges, lid clasp, and handle-hole inserts. Crate is marked front and back, Goetz Company Property, St. Joseph, MO.
The crate is very solid with damage at the base, as shown in the pictures.


Founded in 1859 in St. Joseph, Missouri, by German immigrant Michael Karl Goetz, the M.K. Goetz Brewing Company grew from a small local brewery into a regional powerhouse known for Country Club Beer. It survived Prohibition by producing "near beer" and opened a modern plant in Kansas City in 1936, before merging with Pearl Brewing Co. and closing in 1976

Condition: rustic, in solid condition.
