Wonderful find, this 1920s Art Deco Sparkling Seltzer Bottle.
This was an engineering breakthrough for the sparkling water companies in the late 1800s. A quick-change gas cartridge to charge your water at home. But not until the early 1920s, when the CO2 charger arrived, did the concept really emerge in the US.
The heavy, thick glass bottle was made in Czechoslovakia. It has a wire-mesh sleeve covering. The chrome charger nozzle mechanism on top was made in London, England, which has a removable gas cartridge and a covering attached. Towards the top of the bottle is a red fill line. This is the 80/20 rule for filling a pressurized canister. Water 80%, pressure 20%.
This amazing Seltzer bottle is in wonderful condition and will make a perfect addition to your Art Deco Bar area.

Circa: 1920-50s.
Measurements: 13½” tall, bottle is 4¼” in diameter.
Condition: has light chrome pitting on the charger. The gas cylinder is empty.
