Antique 1800s Miniature Apothecary Corkscrew and Button Hook

$115.00

Antique 1800s Miniature Apothecary Corkscrew and Button Hook.
Wonderful find, this tiny corkscrew and button hook. The corkscrew was used to remove corks from medicine and perfume bottles. Medical and perfume bottles used cork until the early 1900s. The button hook was used to help pull the button through the hole in garments and shoes.
The corkscrew is made of steel, the bow/hoop is a spring that holds tension on the corkscrew, and when the tool is folded out or in, it locks into place with notches at the pivot point.
