Antique Sterling Stag Horn Handle Corkscrew, Wine Bottle Opener
Wonderful find, this beautiful Stag Horn Corkscrew with a decorative Sterling Silver cap.
Made of an English Stag Horn handle with a sterling silver end, the bell above the corkscrew is a Walker Company design from 1900, which has a wire breaker and cap-lifter. The worm (corkscrew) is known as a bladed style with the outer edge designed to cut through the cork with ease. Above the bell is a decorative collar that covers the shaft, which attaches to the horn.
The Sterling silver cap is marked with (Sterling) on the underside and features beautiful scrollwork. The end is not monogrammed; you can add your initials or give it as a gift with their initials, a truly spectacular gift to give. (We do not offer monogramming).
This beautiful corkscrew has been in a private collection for the past 40 years.
Circa: 1890-1900.
Marked: Sterling 20.
Measurements: 5½” tall, 9" wide at handle
Condition: wonderful with light normal wear. The Antler handle is solid and shows no visible damage. The corkscrew has light plating loss.
