Wonderful find, this Stunning Boar Tusk Corkscrew with a Sterling Silver cap, which has amazing scrollwork around the cap.
Made of a Boar Tusk handle with a sterling silver end. The worm (corkscrew) is known as a bladed style with the outer edge designed to cut through the cork with ease.
The Sterling silver cap is marked with (Sterling). The Sterling end cap has been monogrammed on the top, believed to be (CL).
This corkscrew has been in a private collection for the past 40 years.
Circa: 1880-1900.
Measurements: 5½” tall, 8” wide at handle.
Condition: dent on the end cap, finish wear on the corkscrew.
