Antique Victorian Corkscrew with Sterling Silver Caps, Wine Bottle Opener
Wonderful find, this Stunning Corkscrew with Sterling Silver caps. The Caps feature a woman with long hair flowing around the caps, creating a beautiful design.
Made of a Pig Tusk handle with a sterling silver end. The bell above the corkscrew is a Walker Company design from 1900 and has a wire breaker and cap-lifter. The worm (corkscrew) is a bladed style, with the outer edge designed to cut through the cork with ease.
The Sterling silver caps are both marked with (Sterling Fine 925 & makers marks).
This corkscrew has been in a private collection for the past 40 years.
Circa:1900.
Measurements: 5½” tall, 6” wide at handle.
Condition: dent on the end cap, light finish wear on the corkscrew.
