Vintage Parrish Wooden Dough Bowl, Solid Maple
Beautiful find, this wood dough bowl with a wonderful patina and lots of character. Handcrafted from a single solid block of hardwood maple by the Parrish Wood Company of Hulbert, Michigan. The bowl has wonderful patina from years of use. This bowl will be a great addition to your kitchen or as a centerpiece on the table.
We have oiled this bowl with food-safe oil to preserve the wood and keep it from drying out.
This is an Authentic wood dough bowl from the mid-1900s
History,
J. Shepherd Parrish Company produced hardwood bowls in Hulbert, Michigan, from the early 1900s to 1979, frequently referred to as the (Wooden Bowl Factory). These high-quality, hand-turned bowls were made of the local hardwoods, including Maple, Cherry, and Oak. The Parrish Company was dissolved in 1979.
Circa: 1950s
Measures: 13¼” x 12¼” across and is approximately 4” tall; inside depth 3¾”.
Condition: Ready to use, with light wear.
