1930s Arcade Cast-Iron Nutcracker
Wonderful find, this pristine Arcade Manufacturing Co. Nutcracker. Made and Patented by the Arcade Manufacturing Company of Freeport, Illinois. Arcade was granted a patent for its nutcracker in July. 24, 1934.
The nutcracker is made of nickel-plated cast iron. A very ingenious device, it clamps to a table or board up to 1¼” thick. The lever-style hand is lifted and adjusted to the required size, then lowered to activate the plunger and crack the nut.
Circa: 1930s
Measures: approximately 9½” long, 7” tall, 2” wide.
Condition: wonderful and ready to use.
