Antique Mexican Charro Spurs, Western Memorabilia: Five Western Spurs
Wonderful old collection of western spurs from the 1800s. These are the real deal, not a discount store knockoff. They are known as Mexican Charro-style spurs from the mid-1800s. The Mexican word Charro means horseman or cowboy. These are made of heavy forged steel with a decorative pattern on the outside of the heel band and the shank, and sometimes the design was plated with silver overlay. The largest of this collection still has a good amount of silver overlay. These are five single spurs, not pairs, each with its own unique style. They range in length from 7½” to 9”, with the rowels measuring 3¼” to 4½” in diameter. They are magnificent.
They are rustic and worn, perfect for that western décor look.
Circa: 1850-1880.
Condition: rustic, sold as is.
Please see all pictures, as they are part of the description.
