Crockett, Bit & Spur Catalogs
Wonderful find, these reprints of the well-known Spur and Tack maker Oscar Crockett. There are three catalogs: #6 (16 pages), #12 (40 pages), and #14 (33 pages), all in fabulous condition.
From the estate of William R. "Slim" McNaught (1934–2025), a revered ranch hand, leather artisan, saddle maker, cowboy poet, and musician based in New Underwood, South Dakota.
History,
One of the better-known names when it comes to antique and vintage western spurs. The Oscar Crockett Spurs have been around since the 1920s, when they started in Kansas City. Oscar passed away in 1949. Oscar’s wife, Hazel, continued to operate the company until 1951, when she sold it to James Renalde, who branded the spurs (CR) Crockett-Renalde. The company finally closed in the 1980s.
