Vintage Pair of Kelly Western Spurs, Women's or Youth Size,
Wonderful find, this pair of western spurs. Made by Pascal Kelly. These are chrome-plated steel spurs with scrollwork on the outer heel band
The spurs are both marked (Kelly) on the bottom edge. The heel bands have about a 2¾” spread, with a 1¼” drop shank carrying a 1-1/8” diameter eight-point star Rowel with rounded tips.
History,
In 1965, the Kelly Brothers company was sold to Jim Renalde. Jim Renalde has already bought the Crockett Spurs business and was looking to grow his empire, so selling to him was a logical step for the aging Pascal. Renalde Spurs, encompassing the Crockett and Kelly Spurs companies.
Circa: Pre-1965
Condition: very nice condition, a couple of scuffs and scratches from use; we have lightly cleaned. Leather straps are very worn.
