New Old Stock, Kelly 230 Bull Riding Western Spurs
Wonderful, rare find: cowboy spurs made by Kelly; these are #230 bull-riding spurs. Each spur is stamped Kelly 230. This pair of 230 spurs is considered bull riding spurs. They have a 5-point split-star rowel on a 2 ¼” shank and a yoke spread of around 3”.
These are New Old Stock and Never Worn; they still have the original sale-price sticker inside the heel band. These are Bull riding spurs with offset shanks.
They have never been worn and come in the original store display package from Denver, Colorado.
From the estate of William R. "Slim" McNaught (1934–2025), a revered ranch hand, leather artisan, saddle maker, cowboy poet, and musician based in New Underwood, South Dakota.
History,
The Kelly brand is one of the better-known American spur brands, founded in 1905 by Pascal Moreland Kelly (P.M. Kelly). Kelly and his brothers operated the company, and the brand was Kelly Bros. In 1939, Pascal bought out his brothers and rebranded the name to Kelly. The Kelly brand remained until 1965, when he sold the business.

Marked: Kelly 230.
Condition: The bag is soiled, worn, and cracked.
