Vintage Pair of Kelly Rodeo Western Spurs
Wonderful find: this pair of western spurs was made by Pascal Kelly and marked with the RODEO trademark.
The spurs have the classic Kelly look with the 9-point star rowel and engraved outer heel band and shank. They have a 2” shank reaching out to carry the rowel, and the heel band/yoke has about a 3” spread; the leather straps seem newer and in very nice condition.
History,
In 1965, the Kelly Brothers company was sold to Jim Renalde. Jim Renalde had already bought the Crockett Spurs business and was looking to grow his empire, so selling to him was a logical step for the aging Pascal. Renalde Spurs, encompassing the Crockett and Kelly Spurs companies, are very collectible items.
Circa: Pre-1965
Condition: Extremely nice condition as shown in pictures; lightly cleaned; could use a deep clean.
