We have for sale Primitive Wooden Butter Press Mold with Flower & Herb Pattern Design
Wonderful antique one-pound Butter Press Mold with a Flower & Herb pattern design. This was a very decorative way to dress up your table in the 1800s after churning the butter you would place approximately one pound of butter into the press and push the handle down to reveal the oval shaped butter with your design on the top. This is a true antique not a remake found in Missouri.
Era; 1880-1900
Marked; Flower & Herb Design
Measures; 4.75” diameter at base, 6” tall
Condition; rustic with water stains and light wear from use, has one stress crack in the base as shown in pictures, but a very solid piece.
