We have for sale an Antique 1914 Adlake Reliable Railroad Lantern (Adams & Westlake) Tall Globe Lantern. Made for C. M. & St. P. RY. - Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul Railyard.
Wonderful piece of Railroad Memorabilia this 1914 kerosene lantern made by the Adams & Westlake Co. for the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul Railyard. Often referred to as the Milwaukee Road this railroad was started in 1847.
The lantern is in wonderful vintage condition with all original glass, burner and paint. The glass globe has raised lettering (C. M. & St. P. Ry) and is considered a tall globe, the burner is original with brass wick housing and adjustment knob also has a clean wick.
We mention the glass globe being tall only because Adams & Westlake redesigned their lanterns in 1920 to use a shorter globe.
Patent dates on lantern range from 1897 to 1913. Clear globe has raised lettering.

Marked; Adlake Reliable, C.M. & St.P. RY
Measures; 10.25" tall not including handle, 7" diameter at base.
Condition; Very good with minimal wear, some small dents and dings from years of use, some of the original gray paint remains. Not tested sold AS IS.
