We have for sale an Antique Brass Barrel Bung Tap, Wood Beer Keg Spigot
What a wonderful find this large antique barrel spigot made of solid brass measuring 18.5” long. These were hammered into the end of the cast wood barrels of beer and wine when tapping the barrel. The spigot has wonderful dark natural patina and aging.
We found this with another part which is also for barrel bungs it appears to be an air vent maybe used to help with faster draining of the barrels. (if you have any information on this piece we would highly appreciate it)
Era; 1880-1900
Measures; spigot is 18.5” long, air vent is 4.5” x 5”
