We have for sale an Antique 20 LB Cast Iron Horse Tether Weight, Civil War Era
Wonderful antique horse weight or horse tether it is made of solid cast iron and original leather strap & buckle. It is marked with the numbers 20 for the weight of the piece (but it actually weighs 23.7 pounds) These were used to tie your horse or horse and buggy to when there was nothing else available.

Circa; 1850-1890s
Marked, 20
Measurements; 4” tall, 7.125” diameter at base, strap is 8” long looped.
Condition; very good for age with scuff, scratches and a couple chips, leather strap is still solid.
