From back in the day when you needed a corkscrew to open a beer of bottle this is a 1890s advertising corkscrew made by the Williamson Co. Newark NJ the advertising is for the Schoenhofen Brewing Co of Chicago for their Edelweiss Beer. The condition of this corkscrew is good with clear graphics on both sides of the handle, as seen in pictures the chrome plating is worn and missing in spots.
This is a great starter corkscrew for someone just starting a collection.
Circa, 1890s
Marked, Williamsons on Shank, WILLIAMSON CO. NEWARK N.J. PAT. APL'D FOR, stamped on end of wood handle.
Measures, 5.25” long, 3.625” wide at handle.
Condition, very good please read description.
