We have for sale Antique Ammunitions Wood Box from the United States Cartridge Co. New York, NY
Rustic wooden ammunitions box from the late 1800s. Made by the United States Cartridge Co. New York, NY. Box held the defiance brand shotgun shells, 500 rounds.
Box has dovetail corners and notched out handle holds. It is in rustic condition please see all pictures, great display for the cabin or resort.
History;
Established in 1869, by Civil War general Benjamin F. Butler the United States Cartridge Company. The company produced After supplying 65 percent of American small arms ammunition production for World War I. The company was acquired by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1928 and closed in 1929.
