We have for sale a Delightful Fine Bone China Tea Cup and Saucer made by Coalport in England. The CAIRO pattern is a vibrant dark blue design features birds, butterflies and bush twigs and berries. The pair is enhanced with delicate gold gilding on the rims, cup footing and handle.
It is in a very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or paint wear. Gold gilding is in very good condition. It appears to have never or only lightly used. Please see all photographs as they are part of the description.
Coalport, Shropshire, England was a center of porcelain and pottery production between 1795 and 1926 with the Coalport porcelain brand continuing to be used up to the present.
It would make a wonderful gift for the discriminating tea drinker.
Era: unknown but consistent with 1930’s – 1950s
Marked: COALPORT BONE CHINA MADE IN ENGLAND AD1790 “CAIRO”
Measures: saucer is 5 ½” in diameter; tea cup is 4” in diameter and 2 1/8” high.
Condition: This set is in very good vintage condition
