We have for sale an Antique Double Helix Corkscrew, Wine Bottle Opener
Wonderful American made corkscrew from the turn of the 20th century. Made by inventor William Rockwell Clough. The corkscrew has a wooden handle with hanging ring and features a double helix screw. The Double Helix is a rare feature, as you twisted the screw into the cork and the second screw hits the cork it forces the cork to spin in the neck of the bottle releasing the seal of the cork allowing you to pull the cork with ease.

There is a story behind these American made corkscrews William Rockwell Clough was the Inventor and Manufacturer of over a Billion Corkscrews from the mid-1800s up to his business closing in the 1930's. His corkscrews were comprised of a simple design using twisted wire, Clough also invented the machinery to produce these corkscrews.
