We have for sale an Antique Rack & Pinion Corkscrew
Lovely engineering on this 1850s design English Rack & Pinion corkscrew with dusting brush. This corkscrew has a few notable design features, including a dusting brush and bladed worm (screw).
The frame is made of steel with a nickel plate finish. The wood handle has a hanging loop above it and a horsehair dusting brush at the end.
The dusting brush was used to clean dust and dirt from the bottles label and cork.
The bladed worm is designed to cut through the cork with ease and have a strong hold while pulling the cork.
This corkscrew is simple to use, place the corkscrew over the bottle twist the wood handle clockwise driving the screw into the cork, then twist the metal handle clockwise to raise the cork from the bottle. This makes removing the cork a simple task.

Measures, 7 ¾” long, 5” wide at handle including brush.
Condition, Very nice condition for age, has plating lose throughout. Please see all pictures as they are part of the description.
