We have for sale an Antique Safe Home Match Wooden Shipping Crate
Wonderful Rustic Wooden Shipping Crate. Diamond Match Company, Safe Home Matches. This is a larger crate measuring 21 ¼” x 15 ¾” x 9 ½” tall, it is rustic but solid with classic hand cut dovetail joint corners. It has printing on both ends and one side, at some point wood handle were added to the ends to make carrying it easier, these can be removed if desired.

Diamond Match Company
History,
The Diamond Match Company was formed in 1881 through a partnership between the Swift, Courtney & Beecher Match Company of Wilmington (Delaware) and the Barber Match Company of Akron (Ohio). By 1889 the company had expanded, incorporating locations in Connecticut and Illinois. In the following years, the company introduced various types of matches, and in 1911-1912 a safety, strike-anywhere, match was developed.
