We have for sale an Antique Apothecary Art Deco Style Cork Press
Wonderful turn of the century apothecary piece. This is a hand operated cork press used to compress corks to fit into medicine bottles.

Cork Presses were used throughout the 1800s and early 1900s you would have found them in Pharmacy’s and Drug stores across America.
You lift the handle and place a wet cork into the press by pushing the handle down the cork would compress to the size bottle you needed it to fit.
The condition of this press is wonderful with its original paint and wonderful detail it is a piece of art from a time long past.

Circa, 1900-1920
Marked, none.
Measures, 9 ¼” long, 3” wide, 2 ¼” tall
Condition, Good with paint chips and wear consistent with use. At the hinge, the iron has two little chips not sure if these are manufacturing or from use, these do not hamper use. Please see all pictures.
