We have for sale a Vintage D. Peres Universal Corkscrew
Wonderful collectible corkscrew designed by Danial Peres of Solingen Germany.
This is a mechanical corkscrew with ball bearing assist. There are two versions of this corkscrew one with decorative handle and one with a plan handle.
This is the decorative handle and marked Monopol, D.R.G.M. Universal, Germany. Also marked just above the bearing is D.Peres Germany. The white bottle guard is still in place and in good condition.

History,
Peter Daniel Peres founded a cutlery business in Solingen, Germany, in 1792. The company, called "D. Peres," still is in business in Solingen, which for centuries has been a center for manufacturing swords, knives, razors and scissors and yes corkscrews.
