We have for sale an Apothecary Cork Press, Clark No.1
This Mid-late 1800s Cork Press is made of Cast Iron, has the branding inside (Clark No. 1).
These were used by Pharmacists and Druggists to compress corks for medical bottles, it has three different diameter 1/4, 3/8, 1/2” press points. Measures 9 ½” long and can be screwed down to a work surface. Cork Presses were used throughout the 1800s and early 1900s you would have found them in Pharmacy’s and Drug stores across America.
You lift the handle and place a moistened cork into the press by pushing the handle down the cork would compress to the size bottle you needed it to fit.

Measures; 9 ½” long, 3” tall
